The Italian e-Commerce growth is twice the US/UK, greater than Germany and equivalent to France.

In 2010, the Italian e-commerce grew by 14%, reached €6.5 billion and represents 1% total retail sales. The increase of the Italian market is about twice the UK and U.S one (+8%), higher than German’s expansion (+12%) and equivalent to the French’s boost (+15 %).
In fact, the Retail Sales market penetration of 1% should be compared with 10% in the United Kingdom, 7% in Germany and 5% in France.
The annual online expenses of the Italian purchaser is aligned with the French and German consumers between €800-€900 and significantly lower than that of the British shopper that is over €1400.
